Resham noted Maria Wasti’s presence, effortlessly conversing in English with everyone, which contrasted with Resham’s own struggles with Urdu. This experience led her to doubt her chances of securing the character.
Resham ultimately landed the role because the producers felt that Maria’s proficiency in English was excessive, whereas they believed they could help Resham improve her Urdu skills. This particular drama marked Resham’s debut under her current stage name, as her original name, Saima, was set aside by her sister due to the presence of another well-known star named Saima Khan.
