PM Shehbaz Honors Olympian Hero Arshad Nadeem with Rs150m Reward and More
Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif hosted a dinner at Prime Minister House to celebrate Arshad Nadeem’s historic gold medal win at the Paris Olympics. The PM announced a reward of Rs150 million, renaming of a road in Islamabad as ‘Arshad Nadeem Road’, and establishment of the Arshad Nadeem High Performance Academy.
Additionally, the PM announced:
– Rs1 billion Pakistan Sports Endowment Fund to support players
– Committee to promote sports in the country
– Rs10 million award for Arshad’s coach, Salman Iqbal Butt
– Recommendation for Hilal-i-Imtiaz award for Arshad Nadeem
The PM praised Arshad’s achievement, saying it has boosted the nation’s morale and sent a message of courage and determination. Arshad thanked his parents, the nation, and media for their support.
