Jawad Bashir is a Pakistani film and television director, actor, and singer. He was born in Lahore and studied at the National College of Arts (NCA). During his time at NCA, he, along with his friends and in collaboration with Director/Special Effects/Musician Ahsan Khan, created the popular spoof TV program ‘VJ’ (Video Junction) on NTM TV Network. This show quickly gained popularity, and Jawad became known as a sitcom director, with many of his sitcoms being filmed at NCA.
Additionally, Jawad Bashir was a member of a music group called Dr. Aur Billa and has also made a name for himself as a video director, known for his funky and humorous style. He is credited with bringing innovation to the TV drama serial industry in Pakistan, particularly in the realm of sitcoms.
