Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar, a renowned Pakistani writer, recently shared details about a harrowing kidnapping incident he experienced. Reports of his abduction, orchestrated by a woman named Amina Arooj and her accomplices, garnered widespread attention in the media. Qamar recounted being lured to Arooj’s residence under false pretenses of a potential collaboration, only to be taken captive upon arrival. Amina Arooj has since been apprehended by the authorities.
During a podcast hosted by Ahmed Mujtaba, Qamar disclosed the events of his abduction, including the mention of two well-known celebrities by the kidnappers. Despite contemplating his mortality during the ordeal, Qamar initially hesitated to file a police report due to the alleged involvement of Nauman Ijaz and Saba Qamar, whom he holds differing opinions about. He expressed gratitude for the support he received from his Indian fans amidst the crisis, contrasting it with the negative reactions from some within Pakistan.
Reflecting on the traumatic experience, Qamar shared his wife’s distress over the incident and her desire for him to relocate from Pakistan for their family’s safety. Despite his resilience, he acknowledged his wife’s concerns and the impact on their daughters. The writer expressed appreciation for the solidarity shown by his Indian supporters, highlighting their positive response during a challenging time.
