Shahood Alvi, born on 29 May 1973 in Multan, Punjab, is a renowned Pakistani actor and director. He comes from a family with a strong connection to the entertainment industry, as his uncle, Iqbal Ansari, is a well-known television director and producer. Iqbal Ansari was previously married to actress and writer Bushra Ansari in 1978, but they are now divorced. Shahood Alvi is a father of three daughters, one of whom, Areeba Alvi, has followed in his footsteps and pursued a career as an actress.
Shahood Alvi embarked on his professional journey in the entertainment field by working as a boom operator for PTV in 1997. Initially assisting the sound mixer, he transitioned into acting in 2001, marking the beginning of his successful acting career. Alongside his acting endeavors, Shahood Alvi has also ventured into directing, showcasing his talent behind the camera by directing the drama “Chipkali” in 2003.
Actor Shahood Alvi revealed that when he started his career in acting, he once attempted to take his own life. Shahood shared that when he was about to take the drastic step, he prayed to Allah, saying, “O Allah, you take care of it,” and then a sense of hesitation arose in his heart, after which he did not think about doing such a thing. Shahood also mentioned that his daughter had already been born at that time, but it was a very difficult period for him. Today, Shahood Alvi is an established actor and he has purchased a black-colored Mercedes car, and upon buying the car, he cried tears of joy.
